I'm not convinced that's anywhere near accurate. A quick look at Trump's jumped up nobody appointments reveals a who's who of unstable personalities and promises one spectacular flameout after the next.

Oh, I know that, and I agree. Humor is just a coping mechanism to ride out the inevitable storm. Any way you look at it the ride ahead is rocky for as far as the eye can see. Hold on, let go and keep a sense of humor whenever possible.

What everyone fails to realize is that Obama and Trump were a tag-team act;  Obama brought Hope and Trump brings Change.

Hope-man brought us record levels of deportations and lobbyist benefaction while Change-boy is a gameshow host who apparently has determined the the change needed is the complete destruction of the dignity of the office.

I miss Hope-man already and am already tired of the inane "Nazi" comparisons.

Most importantly I'm renewing my efforts at local politics because that's where shit really matters.

You have, however, identified yourself as a member of the class who will deny any aspect of reality so long as it serves your political agenda.

What political agenda would that be?  Despising Bush for the Iraq war...Abu Ghraib...turning America into a police state since 9/11?  Fuck Barry Soweto as well. IRS targeting groups with differing views, race-baiting and NOT ONE GODDAMN BANKSTER IN JAIL! Barry was a fucking neocon...it isn't alt-right...it's an alt-universe.

Denying reality...seriously?  Useful idiots (most recent example women march) really believe their own narrative and stopped worrying about the things that really matter like deficits, endless war, porous borders, Constitutional rights...oh, and most recently reported that $20k in regulatory cost burden for each worker in the U.S.

I didn't vote Trump BUT he has all the right enemies. Looking at many of those lined up against him makes me a fan.  Barry might have been the "hope" but after 72 hrs at "the desk" it's looking like Trump will be the "change".

TODAY 11am: Trump signs executive order; White House schedule  provide no details on what order may entail.

Place your bets bitchez

Regulatory costs?  Like those speed limit signs, OSHA Inspectors and FBI budgets?

Smoke and Fucking mirrors, our regulatory costs are low and we have one of the most productive work forces in the world.  Regulations are how you catch crooks, anti-regulation is effectively anti-enforcement and why the fuck do you hate our cops you unpatriotic bastard?

I have no idea, and at this point I don't care. I only know that you are willing to accept process errors so significant and fundamental that, for me, it negates the significance of anything else you might say or think.

I have nothing personal against you, and you might be, taken as a whole, a fine fellow. But your political thinking is infantile.

(Johnny_Rotten, I liked that article a lot; thanks for posting.)

Got this from a friend in Ohio.  I guess they didn't all vote for Trump.

The 15 Warnings Signs of Impending Tyranny MONDAY, JANUARY 2, 2017 As tyrants take control of democracies, they typically:

1.  Exaggerate their mandate to govern – claiming, for example, that they won an election by a landslide even after losing the popular vote.

2.  Repeatedly claim massive voter fraud in the absence of any evidence, in order to restrict voting in subsequent elections.

3.  Call anyone who opposes them “enemies.”

4.  Turn the public against journalists or media outlets that criticize them, calling them “deceitful” and “scum.”

5.  Hold few if any press conferences, preferring to communicate with the public directly through mass rallies and unfiltered statements.

6.  Tell the public big lies, causing them to doubt the truth and to believe fictions that support the tyrants’ goals.

7.  Blame economic stresses on immigrants or racial or religious minorities, and foment public bias and even violence against them.

8.  Attribute acts of domestic violence to “enemies within,” and use such events as excuses to beef up internal security and limit civil liberties.

9.  Threaten mass deportations, registries of religious minorities, and the banning of refugees.

10. Seek to eliminate or reduce the influence of competing centers of power, such as labor unions and opposition parties.

11. Appoint family members to high positions of authority

12. Surround themselves with their own personal security force rather than a security detail accountable to the public.

13. Put generals into top civilian posts

14. Make personal alliances with foreign dictators.

15. Draw no distinction between personal property and public property, profiteering from their public office.

Consider yourself warned.

Raul Hilberg described this process in simple five steps, as practiced since humans turned hind legged.

Identify an evil group.

Confiscate their property and nullify their civil rights.

Demonize, ostracize and confine the group to physically isolated ghettos, out of public view.

Concentrate them in prisons and camps where they have no rights, can't vote or have children, and systematically exploit their labor.

Kill them, either by withholding food and medical care or by deliberate murder.

Apologies, story sourced from one of those alt-right fake media sites.
Seems "trusted" MSM sources are still sitting on their pencils or working how to spin.

Kidding aside, good friends with parents of agent seated behind the Obamas.
Yes, she's from AK.  No longer with the Service.  Will be interesting to get that perspective.
BTW: Now making good $$ protecting highest paid female CEO as she circles the globe making arms deals.  Murica.

I can't tell if you're suggesting that I'm playing games which involve creating a double identity, or if you're suggesting that someone else has done so and are challenging me to figure out who it is. Your writing is ambiguous, and could be read either way.

If it's the former, all I can say is "Damn, you caught me." and "Does my other identity post tons of pictures too, or is that simply part of my clever cover story?"

If it's the latter, I'd say "Don't know, and don't care."

Until recently, I thought Smudge might be Dusty, but that was mostly because Dusty had been absent for a while, and because of a notion that they had similar sensibilities (or at least might have).  It turns out I am not me, and he is not him.

Not that I don't like a bit of mystery, but the truth is easily uncovered. Choad knows because he more or less invited me over from another forum where I was a regular, where choad occasionally posted and where we got to know each other over the course of the last couple of years.

Either that or I'm actually TWO women, at least one of whom is named Debbie.

From The National Lampoon's Radio Dinner Album 1972, Magical Misery Tour.  Taken from interviews with John Lennon.  He'll tell you who the walrus was.

Stifle yourself goy.  Trumpster has all but sworn fealty to the Ashkenazim and re-aligned U.S. foreign policy to suit Israhell.
